This week-long course aims to develop both technical and non-technical skills useful in a hackathon environment. Students should be proficient in at least one programming language and are comfortable with communicating and self-learning. Many basic software development tools will be introduced (source control, project dependencies, database, web technology). Non-technical skills such as teamwork, time management, task prioritization and presentation will also be covered. Students will spend the last 2.5 days of the course building personal/team projects of moderate complexity, and showcase them with formal project presentations for students and parents after class on Friday. An awards ceremony takes place afterwards, with judging notes and prizes.
